Yummy & Easy Steamed Modak 😋
- 1 cup rice flour
- 100 gram shredded fresh coconut
- 100 Gram jaggery
- 4 grinded cardamom
- 1/2tsp salt
- 2 tablespoon ghee
- Few chopped almonds & cashews pieces
Preparation Method :
For Modak Dough:
In a pan add water, add salt, 1 tablespoon ghee and bring it to boil.
When it starts boiling add rice flour and stir continuously to avoid lumps Mix it very well. Cover and rest the mixture for about 5 minutes.
In a pan take 1 tablespoon ghee, add shredded fresh coconut and stir.
Add equal quantity jaggery and mix till the jaggery melts.
Then add grinded cardamom powder, chopped almonds & cashews pieces and mix it very well. Cool it down.
After 5 minutes knead the rice flour in a soft dough.
With moist hand take the dough ball and press to form an indent with thumb.
Keep pressing to give it a bowl shape. With the help of index finger pinch and form pleats all around the modak.
Now add fillings in the shape and carefully close it from the top.
Use banana leaf or butter paper as a liner to steam.
To steam, in a pan take water, place stand and put Modak plate on it.
Cover and steam the prepared filled modak shape on it for 10 minutes on medium flame.
Your steam Modak is ready to serve Ganpati Bappa & Family.
