Creative Poha Balls πŸ˜‹πŸ˜ in 20 minutes!!!

Poha Balls

Ingredients:

  • 100gms Poha / ( Flattened rice )
  • 4 glass Warm water
  • 4-5 tbsp All purpose flour (Maida)
  • 1/2tsp Salt
  • 1tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2kg Boiled mashed potatoes
  • 40gms Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Mozzarella cheese cubes
  • 1tsp Chilli flakes
  • 1tsp Mixed herbs (optional)
  • 1/2Oregano (optional)
  • Bread crumbs to coat the poha balls
  • Oil for frying

Preparation Method:

In a bowl, add poha (flattened rice), add 2 glass warm water and soak for about 5 minutes.

Strained the poha (flattened rice) and keep aside.

In a another bowl, add all purpose flour (Maida), add 1/2 tsp salt, add black pepper, add 1 glass water and mix it well to make a thick batter. Keep aside.

In a mixing bowl, add boiled mashed potatoes, add soaked poha ( flattened rice), add parmesan cheese, 1 tsp salt, add black pepper, add chilli flakes, add mixed herbs (optional), add oregano (optional) and mix all the ingredients very well.

Take some mixture in your hand and flatten it with your fingers.

Place a mozzarella cheese cube on it and roll it into a ball.

Now dip the ball in the thick batter which was kept aside earlier.

And then dip in the bread crumbs and coat the crumbs very well.

Heat sufficient oil in a heavy kadai and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.

Drain it on an absorbent / tissue paper.

Poha Balls

Serve it hot with chutney or tomato ketchup.
