Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen kalam is the full name of [A.P.J Abdul Kalam sir] father Jainulabdeen -mother Ashiamma Abdul Kalam was born on 15 October 1931 to a Tamil Muslim family in the pilgrimage center of Rameswaram on Pamban Island, then in the Madras Presidency and now in the State of Tamil Nadu. He was raised in Rameshwaram, TamilNadu, and studied physics and aerospace engineering. Abdul Kalam was an Indian aerospace scientist who served as the 11th President of India form 2002 To 2007.

ABDUL KALAM is famous for his award’s and The first rocket he launched from India in 1969, Kalam was transferred to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) where he was the project director of India’s first Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV-III) which successfully deployed the Rohini satellite in near-earth orbit in July 1980: Kalam had first started work on an expandable rocket project. Transported on a bicycle and launched from a church. November 21 1963 It was 53 years ago, on November 21, 1963, that a small rocket took off from Thumba on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram, announcing the birth of the modern space age in India.
HOW KALAM BECAME MISSILE MAN FOR INDIA :
He thus came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. He also played a pivotal organizational, technical, and political role in India’s Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, the first since the original nuclear test by India in 1974.
Carrer as a Scientist :
After graduating from the Madras Institute of Technology in 1960, Kalam joined the Aeronautical Development Establishment of the Defence Research and Development Organisation. Kalam had first started work on an expandable rocket project independently at DRDO in 1965.
Kalam served as the 11th President of India, succeeding K. R. Narayanan. He won the 2002 presidential election, and his term lasted from 25 July 2002 to 25 July 2007. He was also the first scientist and the first bachelor to occupy Rashtrapati Bhawan. During his term as president, he was affectionately known as the People’s President.
BHARAT RATNA :
Kalam was honored with Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor, in 1997, before becoming the President. He was awarded for his work in the fields of space and defense technologies.
How Kalam sir Died :
While delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong Kalam collapsed and died from an apparent cardiac arrest on 27 July 2015, aged 83. Thousands including national-level dignitaries attended the funeral ceremony held in his hometown of Rameshwaram, where he was buried with full state
