Mango Kaju Katli


  • 150gms Mangoes
  • 250gms Cashews
  • 200gms Sugar
  • 150ml Water
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  • Edible silver foil (optional)
  • Pistachios to garnish

Preparation Method:

In a blender, add mangoes and blend it into a puree.


In a another blender, add cashews and blend it nicely.

To make sure the cashew powder is not too coarse. Take a bowl and place a standard sieve on it.

Add the blended cashew powder and use a spoon to pass it through the standard sieve. Keep aside.

Take a black skillet (pan), add sugar, water and stir continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Add the cashew powder and mix it well.

Add the blended mango puree and mix it again.

Cook for 8 – 10 minutes on medium flame.

Add ghee and mix it well again.

Cook until the mixture thickens.

Add cardamom powder and mix nicely.

Remove it from heat and allow it to cool for about 5 – 7 minutes.

Transfer the mixture on to a butter paper and spread it evenly.

Cover it with another butter paper.

Flatten it with the help of a spoon or rolling pin.

Cut it into diamond shape or as per your desired shape.

Place the edible silver foil on the Mango barfi.
